More Tornadoes Thursday Targeting Kansas & Nebraska

Another round of dangerous severe storms is expected this afternoon over portions of the Central and Southern Plains.  The greatest risk for tornadoes, a few long-lived and strong, will be across portions of northern and central Kansas up into southern Nebraska starting early in the afternoon.  Other storms with high winds and very large hail could affect Oklahoma and west-central Texas a bit later in the afternoon and evening.

Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2016: The countdown has started!

On June 4th, some of the world’s most daring athletes will gather at Possum Kingdom Lake in Texas to kick off the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series. Cliff diving is an extreme sport that draws athletes from around the world to test their strength and focus by diving into water from platforms as high as 28 meters above the water level. The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series will test the best in the sport at nine different locations around the world.

The Heat is On!

If you are in the Northeast, you can get your shorts and t-shirts out as unseasonably warm weather moves in for mid-week.  Highs on Wednesday will push into the mid to upper 80’s with New York City hitting a high around 85, highs will be closer to 90 for the Hartford and Boston areas.  These highs will be running 10-20 degrees above average for this time of year.  You’ll also want to grab the sunscreen if you have outdoor plans as there will be plenty of sunshine.  Temperatures are expected to stay warm in the 80’s for the rest of the week and into the holiday weekend.
