People have always been interested in the atmosphere and clouds but throughout history they have often found the weather difficult to understand. It was beyond their knowledge for ages until science stepped in, slowly revealing pieces of the weather puzzle during the last century.
Last week the Southwest had a lot of moisture pumping into it causing the humidity to be fairly high. This week it will be drier but above average temperatures will be present for the start of the work week.
There could be some relief in the forecast later today into tomorrow! A cold front will start moving across the Northeast that will help dry out the atmosphere a little. The warm temperates will still be there but dew points will start to drop as this cold front moves through today into tomorrow.

Saturday was a saultry day for many communities across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, and Sunday afternoon will bring more of the same. Air temperatures on Saturday climbed well into the 90s and even low 100’s, while high humidity prompted heat indicies to soar above 110°F during the hottest part of the day.
