Severe Storms in the Northern Plains and Midwest this Afternoon and Evening

Severe storms will move across the Northern Plains and the Midwest today, bringing the risk of hail, damaging wind gusts, and isolated tornadoes.

Thunderstorms have already begun to fire in the Northern Plains and will continue to develop and move east this afternoon into the late evening hours. During the evening hours, the main threat with these storms will transition to damaging wind and heavy rain.

Residents from North Dakota to Wisconsin should take caution today as storms can develop quickly.
