Dangerously Hot Temperatures in the Southwest

California, Arizona, and Nevada will see dangerously hot temperatures today, ranging from 105-115°F, with heat indices above 115°F in some areas. Major cities affected by the heat will include Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Tuscon.

Along California’s coast, temperatures will be slightly cooler but still hot in the 90s for cities such as Los Angeles. Southeastern California and southwestern Arizona will see the highest temperatures, with highs likely above 110°F and up to 118°F in some areas.

Residents are urged to stay cool and take any necessary measures to avoid staying outside as heat is the number one cause of weather related fatalities.
