Hot August days are upon residents of the central U.S. as temperatures pushed into the 90’s on Tuesday with some lower 100’s across Texas. More hot weather is expected on Wednesday as cities like Austin, Dallas and Oklahoma City push to around 100. Highs will be soaring into the mid to upper 90’s across Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota. When you factor in the humidity it will feel even warmer with heat indices pushing into the upper 90’s and into the 100’s across Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri.

A cold front will bring some relief to the Northern Plains on Thursday but that wont help the 100’s expected across portions of Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. The heat will also be spreading east working into the upper Midwest with highs in the low to mid 90’s across Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois.
