Severe storms raked the Southern Plains on Tuesday, bringing very large hail, destructive winds, and even some tornadoes. The severe risk shifts east for Wednesday. Watch for intense storms from eastern Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas into Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
Multiple severe storm episodes will threaten areas of the Plains and Mississippi Valley Tuesday through Thursday. Today’s outbreak will mainly target Texas and Oklahoma. Very large hail, destructive winds, and isolated tornadoes will all be hazards.
After strong thunderstorms on Sunday for Oklahoma and northern Texas, severe weather returns Tuesday to the Southern Plains.
