Expect more severe storms to break out on Friday in almost exactly the same area as Thursday’s event. A few tornadoes, very large hail, destructive winds, and flooding rains will once again threaten the region.
Intense supercell storms will erupt by mid-afternoon from west-central Oklahoma into southern Kansas. Strong, long-lived tornadoes are likely, along with giant hail, destructive winds, and flash flooding.
Snow is flying through the Central Rockies above 12,000 feet. As snow levels drop through tomorrow, watch for significant mountain snow and the major city of Denver to see a last winter wallop as we head towards summer!
Isolated tornadoes will spin across parts of the Missouri and Mississippi River Valleys this afternoon and evening. Big hail and high winds will also occur.
