Flooding Rains To Affect the Ohio Valley Friday, June 23rd!

The remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy will move north, interacting with a cold front advancing south to produce flooding rains on Friday. The target zone will be the Ohio River Valley.

Rich tropical moisture has been streaming north from the Gulf of Mexico Thursday, leading to localized flooding in the south. This flooding risk will move north for Friday. Expect widespread rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches across the Ohio River Valley on Friday. Localized 4-5 inch totals are likely with the heavier storms. Flash flooding will be a threat and river flooding could eventually become an issue.
