Coastal Snow Storm Cranks Up In The Northeast

A quickly intensifying storm near the Mid-Atlantic coast is bringing heavy snow and strong winds Thursday.

Travel by car or air has been greatly impacted in the Northeast on Thursday due to the heavy snow. Snowfall rates of 2″ to as much as 4″ per hour from northern New Jersey through Long Island and southern New England have made traveling difficult to near impossible. Despite the odds, road crews are out in full force trying to keep up with the heavy snow rates.
