The Morecast community has been completely revised! The following guide will show you some of the new features we have implemented and how you can play an even bigger role in the Morecast community.
In the past, the Morecast community was a place, where our most loyal fans came together to share beautiful weather pictures with friends and family. We call these beautiful pictures ‘weather moments’.
To upload a ‘weather moment’, instantly upload a picture from your smartphone’s camera or gallery. Make your picture even better with our great overlays and share them to your favourite social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp.
Friendly competition
One of the most popular features of Morecast is the local and global ranking systems. Included in our latest update is a new and improved user interface and ranking system called ‘Championship’.
This brand new feature allows users to collect special Morecast badges and crowns that our most diligent users can achieve. Badges are credited when you share a picture to social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter or for a specific number of likes you have received from other community members. So, search for your most beautiful weather moments and start uploading them now!
Championship
The most active users can now become “champion of the month“ and win a golden, silver or bronze crown, which is displayed automatically on your profile.
How can you become “champion of the month”?
Simply upload as many high quality weather moments as possible and get the most likes per month.
We display the winners in a separate tile on the community homepage and show the “champion of the month” pictures in a specialised section. Of course, we will keep the two separate rankings, one for global and one for local. Furthermore, there is the possibility of following the monthly champion to see his or her breath-taking images.
Discover new weather moments easily
One of the most exciting new features our new community design are the implementation of search filters. These filters allow community members to discover impressive weather moments faster and easier. Some examples include:
- Most liked pictures
- Most recent pictures
- Most viewed webcams
- Most commented pictures
- Most viewed pictures
All pre-configured filters can be easily reached in the community section of the app and clicking on the desired filter. To go back and choose another filter just tap the back button.
Registration: Many possibilities
Are you still not part of the ‘Morecaster’- family? It is easy to register! Simply link your favourite social media account (Facebook, Twitter, Google etc) to register. As an alternative, using your email address or your phone number can also complete registration. After that, simply complete your profile and start sharing your first weather moments.
