Did you guess the pink section? You’re correct! This region features wide-open, 80-degree waters with some weak storms beginning to develop. The amount of shear (a hindrance to tropical activity) is dropping. This will allow conditions to become more favorable for tropical development in the coming days.
The yellow section is over a region of strong shear which will likely hamper development.
The green section is bubbling up some storms in warm waters. Though, dry air is wrapping in on the south side and will likely inhibit development.
