What was once Hermine will no longer be a worry for the Northeast come Thursday, but a late week heat up will be. A warmer and more humid air mass will be building into the Northeast during the day Wednesday. This will bring above average highs for Thursday and Friday.
Average highs for this time of year range from the mid 70s to lower 80s. With high temperatures expected to make it into the upper 80s to lower 90s, this will result in temperatures being 10-15 degrees above normal. Cities such as Norfolk, Washington D.C., Philadelphia and Syracuse will make it above 90. High temperatures will also be flirting with record levels for portions of Pennsylvania and upstate New York.
A cold front will start to bring some more seasonable temperatures as we head into the weekend.
