Severe Storms Are Likely Across Parts of The South Central and Northeastern US
Across the Northeast, storms will initiate along a trough axis ahead of a cold front this afternoon and evening. A combination of this and some good upper level support will aid in some severe thunderstorm activity for interior parts of the Northeast. The main hazards from these storms include hail up to 1″ and wind gusts up to 65 mph. Additionally, flash flooding will be a big concern from storms as the atmosphere is abundant with moisture. Major Cities at risk include Albany, Scranton, and Burlington.
