Isolated to elevated threat of severe storms this afternoon/evening across parts of the Plains and Midwest. Mr. MORECAST has your details for what to expect.
Severe storms are currently ongoing across Kansas, as a multi convective system moves east. Earlier this morning, there have been reports of wind gusts up to 70 mph. This complex of storms will continue to move east. A combination of a energy from the MCS and some good upper level support ahead of a cold front will help spawn some severe storms along the I70 corridor this afternoon and evening. The main hazards will be hail size up to 2″, wind gusts up to 70 mph, isolated tornadoes, and local flash flooding. Major Cities at risk include Kansas City, St. Louis and Indianapolis.
