Scattered storms will be likely for a large portion of the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic, from Missouri to Pennsylvania.
With a low pressure system swinging into southern Canada from the upper-Midwest, the associated fronts will help trigger thunderstorm activity this afternoon.
The primary risk with all storms will be damaging wind. Very heavy rain will also be possible with storms in more southern areas of the region, over the Appalachians.
