Significant Risk of Severe Storms in the Plains & Upper Midwest Tuesday!

Severe storms will develop on Tuesday afternoon over portions of the Plains and Upper Midwest.  Dangerously high winds, very large hail, and isolated tornadoes will occur well into the overnight hours.

Extremely high instability will build by the afternoon hours on Tuesday ahead of a low pressure system crossing the Northern Plains.  Storms will spark by the early afternoon hours, becoming more numerous by mid to late afternoon.  An organized squall line could develop in the late afternoon and dive southward along or near the Mississippi River Valley through Tuesday evening carrying a threat for widespread straight-line wind damage.

We’ll have updates sent out Tuesday morning on this imminent severe storm risk.  Keep tuned in to our social media feeds (Facebook and Twitter) and the MORECAST app for the latest information.
