Severe Storm Threat Across Parts of The Central and Northern US

Isolated to elevated threat of severe storms this afternoon and evening across parts of the Southern Plains, Mississippi River Valley, and Ohio River Valley. Mr. MORECAST has your details for what to expect.

A series of lows will track along a front this afternoon and evening over the region. With some good upper level support and expected clearing of clouds, the best chance of severe storms will be across Oklahoma and Arkansas. The main hazards will include hail up to 1.5 inches, strong wind gusts up to 70 mph, isolated tornadoes, and localized flash flooding. Further east, there will be a lower risk of severe storms. The main hazards will include flash flooding and some locally strong wind gusts.

 

Across the Northern Plains, there will be a low risk of severe storms late afternoon into the evening.
