Scattered severe storms will impact the Central Plains region this afternoon and evening.
Look for storms to impact the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles, southeastern Colorado, southern Kansas, and southwestern Missouri.
The strongest storms will produce wind gusts to 65 mph and hail to 1.5 inches in diameter, along with heavy rain and local flash flooding through this evening. A few tornadoes will be possible across central Kansas, along a warm front. After dark, the storms will transition into a heavy rain event. Watch for local flooding overnight.
