Severe Weather for Mid-Atlantic and Northern Plains

Tuesday afternoon will see strong storms for the Mid-Atlantic region, with severe weather likely across the Northern Plains this evening and overnight.

Mid-Atlantic:

Storms began this morning, and will increase in number through the afternoon. Stronger storms will be capable of producing damaging straight line winds, as well as hail. There remains a chance for isolated tornadoes where ingredients for supercells come together.

Northern Plains:

Storms will likely fire in the mid-afternoon and increase in coverage through the evening. The atmosphere will be capable of producing supercells with strong winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes. Storms will push eastward in the Dakotas later in the evening and into the overnight hours.
