Severe Storms Target I-95 Corridor Sunday

Severe Outlook June 5, 2016 East Coast USA

Due to a strong upper level disturbance and plenty of moisture, strong thunderstorms are expected to develop Sunday afternoon. Damaging winds will be the greatest threat in these storms, though hail and isolated tornadoes are also possible in a region stretching from North Carolina to Pennsylvania. Further north, thunderstorms could produce gusty winds and small hail, especially in elevated terrain. In the Southeast, thunderstorms are likely with a risk of severe thunderstorms producing damaging wind gusts. Stay alert on Sunday if your area is at risk for severe weather.
