Conditions are set up for severe weather across the Plains on Sunday, from the Mexican border to Canada.
The severe potential continues from Saturday, as conditions favorable for supercells spread across much of the Plains region on Sunday afternoon and evening. The primary threat at this point appears to be large hail, especially in areas of Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. As with most supercell activity, damaging wind and tornadoes will be a possible.
Across more northern regions of the Plains, potent storms will likely be fewer in number, but still capable of packing a large hail punch.
Storms showing little sign of weakening after sunset may continue into the night, with the threat transitioning to damaging wind.
