Storm System to Bring Severe Weather to the Midwest

A low pressure system will be moving through the Midwest today causing concern for severe weather this afternoon and night.

The greatest threat along the Iowa/Illinois border will be large hail and strong winds, but isolated tornadoes are possible. Storms will develop this afternoon and strengthen to severe during the evening hours. Hail up to 1.5″ and tornadoes will be the major threat during the afternoon and evening while through the night hail and strong wind gusts possibly reaching 65 mph will be the main concern.
