A low pressure system over Oklahoma will move eastward on Sunday, aiding in the development of strong to severe thunderstorms. A line of storms will begin to form late Sunday afternoon in far eastern Oklahoma. The line will continue east towards Arkansas and Louisiana, eventually moving into western Mississippi, Tennessee and southern Missouri during the evening hours. Thunderstorms in Arkansas and northern Louisiana have the greatest risk of becoming severe as the line of storms strengthens Sunday evening. These thunderstorms could produce strong wind gusts, damaging hail and possible tornadoes. In the surrounding areas, a possible risk of severe storms remains with wind being the primary threat.
